Overview

Thank you for being interested to work for BadPups.

If you want to help make the pup and handler community, LGBTQ+ and greater kink/fetish communities better, and are passionate to make a difference – we’d like to hear from you. Read on to learn what it’s like working with us, what you can expect, how we are flexible and supportive, and our plans to reward all of our staff when we can.

It is important to note that until we have enough funds to pay our staff (subject to growth of our platform), all roles are volunteer. Even the owner of BadPups is unpaid, and actually funds a lot of BadPups from personal savings. For that we thank them.

About working with BadPups

Who we are looking for:

  • BadPups is looking for self-motivated, enthusiastic individuals who will have a fair degree of independence and control with their tasks to help achieve our roadmap and greater goals as we grow. If you need more management and instructions to help you work, this is fine too.
  • You should be work focused and good (or eager to teach yourself as you go under our direction) at your work.
  • We want people in it for the greater good, however we also want to reward your effort – as soon as our platform makes enough to do so (see our roadmap for growth plans). Your work will build towards all of this and building a better world (in our niche corner at least) for everyone.

What the work is like:

  • Hours and tasks are flexible and can be completed around your existing work or study, as long as they are done by the agreed deadline. Let us know what hours per day/week you can reasonably commit (with some variations is ok) to help with planning.
  • You’ll be working either own your own or in a team, however everyone is around to help and support you.
  • Most work is remote, (except for if you’re visiting somewhere local to your area for outreach for example – if you indicate you are open to that). You’ll be part of a volunteer force of LGBTQ+ pups, of various ages, backgrounds, and from various parts of the world.
  • You’ll be given directions from our Community Manager and (typically) everything you need to succeed.
  • We want you to bring your skills, talents, drive, and ambition to build a better community and a great platform for everyone. Our team wants what’s best for everyone and isn’t afraid to put the cause first.

We don’t want you to be overloaded or overworked, so be sure to tell us what works for you. When you reach out we’ll ask what you would like to work on, and what arrangements are suitable for you during discussion / onboarding.

Marketing & Promotions
– Add to our list of ways to grow BadPups
– Focus on putting the plans to grow BadPups into action and results
– Actively grow BadPups through more engagement, outreach, and awareness
– Actively network online/IRL and connect with people, leaders, and organizations who could work with us, benefit from us, or we could benefit from them.
– Reach out to people / organizations / suspiciously wealthy furries/pups 😉 or other means on getting funds to grow BadPups (this is an example)
– Help drive more sales on BadPups subscriptions and store products
You can specialize in an area or be able to do many:
– Sales experience
– Investor experience (pitching to investors)
– Marketing / Communications / Public Relations experience

SEO, ADS & ANALYTICS EXPERT
Marketing & Promotions
Your overall goals will be to ensure our analytics are effective, and help BadPups grow via SEO
– Enhance BadPups’ SEO presence
– Discuss plans for ads and ad spend (potentially)
– Improve analytics tracking on BadPups website, and all other platforms (socials, 3rd party services, etc)
– Help drive more sales on BadPups subscriptions and store products (through analytics and SEO)
– Interpret, discuss, report, and advise on plans and direction based on analytics

We want to make it as easy as possible so reporting will be via DMs, groups/chats/calls. There is unlikely to be many docs created.
– Google Analytics experience
– Hotjar experience
– Social media analytics experience (Insta, X, possibly FB, possibly BlueSky, Telegram, etc)
– White hat SEO skills and experience, strongly with proof of results and able to explain methods and techniques to obtain the results. Even better if you work / worked / own such sites/places of proof.
VIDEO MODERATOR
Moderation Team

(available daily, <24 hours response time)
(less than 1 hour per day as of April 2024)
– Review all videos posted to BadPups (website) and either approve them or contact the content creator to
– An easy role, however you need to be highly responsive to review videos within 24 hours of upload. Speed is key.
– Review video reports (videos flagged for an issue: e.g. no sound, takedown request, any other issue)
– Only requires you to know that 18+ pornstars, videos over 2 mins long, no illegal, violent, hate, etc content, and on-theme content (pup play/pet play/furry-pup/etc) videos are allowed
– Customer service experience (to talk to creators to let them know they need longer/better/legal/etc content)
– Understanding that one day, if ever, you may see shocking content (never happened so far), and it will need to be rejected and reported [to authorities and agencies]. Then deleted.
WEB DEVELOPER
Development & Infrastructure

(more intensive tasks, many hours per week desired)
– Develop planned site improvements based on needs and/or user feedback
– One specific planned need is: To develop a better ‘website to social media’ publishing script/system. Our current solution uses various 3rd parties which do not all provide the same quality and customization options. We need a tailored solution.
– Ad hoc site improvements and fixes
– Document changes and code either with code comments or in a technical/similar doc
– Experience coding/building websites and server/database systems (front end and back end) (specify if you do one only/better)
– Experience managing web server infrastructure for video, and web
– Proof of experience in the above, for small businesses or larger

SYSTEM ADMIN
(Consultant/Advisory)

(ad-hoc)
May be one off or ongoing:
– Advise on if our current server and infrastructure setup can be made more cost effective and improve performance without too much more cost (like everyone wants :P)
– As we are volunteer and donation funded (so far) and in general, we want to use all funds effectively
– Existing experience in improving solutions for organizations / any other entity (that is where the experience is relevant to our needs)

GROWTH & MODERATION (TikTok, Instagram, Reddit, Telegram, Twitter/X, BlueSky, Discord, Mastodon, others)
Social Media Engagement & Promotions, Moderation Team

(flexible hours, at least 5 hours per week)
– Moderate our socials
– Help grow our socials
– Engage with the members of our socials
– Engage with members of other socials/groups/channels relevant to ours
You can work on one or more social platforms for us (focusing on one is best).
– Flexible and open to newbies to learn and practice as they go.
– Ideally though, people with experience in managing social media accounts, building a social account to thousands of followers or more, and with marketing, customer service experience.

WRITERS
Marketing & Communications

(ad hoc – no minimum, but if you can write one article a week/fortnight that’s amazing – if not just as we need something)
– Write articles for our blog / community resources / guides section
– Write communications for various needs ad-hoc (launches, competitions, social posts, etc)
– Collaborate with other bloggers, influencers, and other people in the pup play space to write articles
– Experience writing in a similar field (marketing, communications, public relations, etc)
– Interest in writing articles for anything about pup play, goings on in the pup and handler universe, sex safety, etc (any one or more of these topics)
